Web Browser Requirements
The Flash Player and Java Runtime are already installed on most computers.

Collaboroom will work in any browser that supports the Macromedia Flash Player 8.0 or better. This includes Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, Safari, AOL and Opera. Advanced features also require the Java Runtime 1.5 or better.

Server Requirements
A server is only needed if you are NOT using the Hosted Online Service.

Collaboroom is platform-independant, and will run on any server platform with any webserver, including:

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Unix
  • Mac
  • IIS
  • Apache
  • WebSphere
Your server will require the following software to be installed:

  • PHP 5
  • Adobe Flash Media Server 2 / Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX 1.5
  • MYSQL 5

Easy Integration
Collaboroom server-side scripting is written in PHP, however, it may be integrated with any HTML web page using any coding language, including:

  • HTML
  • ASP
  • CFM
  • JSP
  • .Net
  • PHP

Many collaboroom interfaces may be included within plain HTML pages using simple JavaScript. Net Design Ltd also provides custom programming services with experience developing in ColdFusion, PHP, ASP and Java. We can help you integrate Collaboroom with your website, intranet or LMS.
